ACTIVITIES & ACTIVITY MANAGEMENT
Wellspring New York is a place to explore new activities for your body and mind. You can try something for the first time, or get better at activities you already love. Our goal is to help you find the activities you like because these are the ones you're most likely to continue as you change your lifestyle. From personal training to soccer, from the high ropes course to gourmet cooking classes, at Wellspring New York, you can find what it takes to return to a normal weight and to keep yourself active and healthy for the rest of your life.
We also leave camp to explore the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, as well as great cities and local culture, with the opportunity for 8-week participants to take a trip to New York City.
Fitness and Lifetime Sports
All Wellspring campers take at least 10,000 steps a day. We all wear pedometers to track our number of steps. But with all the activities at Camp, there's no way you won't get your steps in. We want you to find activities that you will continue to enjoy upon returning home.

Club Hour
Each afternoon Wellspring New York campers meet at snack and then head off to Club Hour. Every week campers have the opportunity to change clubs. Bolster group fitness skills in the Kickboxing Club one week and perfect your serve at Volleyball Club the next. Take the first steps toward a long-term goal with the 5K Club or take a dip with the Water Sports Club. The variety of Clubs takes the Wellspring activity management approach one step further. We want you to try new things, improve on skills you already have, and spend time doing the things you enjoy while forming fitness habits to fit your new lifestyle.
Outdoor Activities
Our campus is completely surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains and Forest. This means miles and miles of hiking trails and walking paths around beautiful St. Regis Lake. Take bird watching tours or nature walks from the Adirondack Visitors Center located on the Paul Smith's campus. The best part is that no hiking boots are required - the paths are like a park!
Explore other parts of the Adirondack Park on day trips to famous hiking spots and swimming holes.
If you don’t already love the great outdoors, you’ll learn to love it this summer at Wellspring New York. If you love exploring what nature has to offer, consider the Adirondack Expedition Program, a way to incorporate the skills gained during the first four-weeks of camp on a two-week adventure expedition in the Adirondacks. Just for Fun
Fun is what camp is all about. We'll make sure you have the chance to try plenty of the goofy, fun camp activities. Don't worry, participation is voluntary! (But we know you'll love it!)
