Wellspring Academies, When Four- or Eight- Weeks is Just the Beginning…

Wellspring recognizes that 4 to 8 weeks spent at Wellspring plus the 3-month After-Care Program, is a critical first step, but may not be a complete solution, especially for campers who are 50-100 lbs. overweight or more.

This is why Wellspring operates Wellspring Academies (WSA), formerly Academy of the Sierras, the first comprehensive solution for teens struggling with their weight – year-round therapeutic boarding schools for permanent weight loss with campuses in California and North Carolina.

With Wellspring New York in mind, Wellspring Academy of California created the WSCA College Program, for college-age young men women. The first College Program class enrolled in August 2007. Students in the College Program attend scheduled classes at Reedley College during the day while participating fully in WSCA culinary, nutrition and fitness classes, and all other aspects of the WSCA program.
